Happy Friday, Mes Amies!

I'm so excited, tomorrow is hair day!!   Woo Hoo!!

So, last week, my husband's cousin had reached out asking for a product recommendation.  Of course, I was happy to help.  It got me thinking, "hey! This is a great idea for a post!"

I sent a mass email out to my friends and subscribers asking what questions they might have.

Mind you, I'm not a beautician, I'm not a makeup artist. I am a beauty "junkie". I am someone who has bought, used and tried many, many, many products. If I can help steer you into finding the right product and not waste your money, I'm here for it!

With no further adieu, lets get going!

" Help! I have the darkest under eye circles. Every concealer I've tried makes my under eye skin look so dry and wrinkly. What can I do? " - Stephanie

Oh yes, I can relate. If you are looking for the most effective concealer for dark circles, my absolute top choice is IT Cosmetics Bye-Bye Under Eye

This concealer covers the darkest circles without settling into lines or creasing.

" What can I do to unclog my pores? I use AHAs/BHA's, buy what can I use to physically remove the congestion in my pores? Is there something like a full face pore strip?" -Lyndie

I'm glad you are using AHA's and BHA's, they are key to staving off clogged pores. Also, try working a retin into your routine if you already don't.  Anyhow, regarding your question. I have tried countless different masks and scrubs. None of them had more than a bare minimal effect.  However, I did recently find something that works amazingly well.  (Read about it here) .

Its the Dermapore deep cleaning device. This literally pulls each and clog out of every pore. It infuses your favorite serum deep into those newly unclogged pores.

"What are the best brushes for smudging pencil eyeliner and blending eyeshadow that do not have real animal hair?"  -Sara

This is an easy one!  Real Technique's Brushes .  First and most important to the person asking , these are 100% Vegan, cruelty free and PETA certified.

Also, in my opinion, these are some of the best brushes on the market. They are better and longer lasting than any other brushes that I've ever used.

"I have VERY light coloring. I need to find an eyeshadow palette that is light enough for me. What is a palette that will not be too harsh on my coloring?" -Lara

This is another question that I can relate too.  I know all too well that what is a perfectly beautiful makeup look on a medium toned skin, will look like far too much makeup on. I have found a palette that is perfect for those of us with fair skin.  Its Tartelette in Bloom Clay Palette .  This palette is light enough for the fairest among us. Also, the colors are neutral. So, regardless of it your coloring is cool or warm, this will work.

"Is it really that bad if I sometimes sleep with my makeup on?" -Carrie

In a word, yes. It really is. It clogs your pores and keeps your skin from being able to breath. I get it, some nights, your energy is absolutely zapped. Keep a pack of makeup wipes for nights like that.

" Its winter, I'm no longer sunless tanning. But, is there anything I can do to warm it up? I was at the gym and noticed that I need something! " - Stephanie

First things first...EVERYONE'S SKIN COLOR IS PERFECT. Nobody, and I mean nobody needs to alter their skin tone.
With that said, if you deo want to warm it up a bit, I know just the thing.  Tan-Luxe The Gradual
This gives a hint of color and a bit of illumination. For the cold, drying winter this stuff saves the day.

"Why does my hair have so much breakage? 😟 " -Deanna

Oh, I understand the sad face here!  There are so many factors that will lead to hair breakage. First off, what is your styling routine? Are you using hot tools daily? If so, put them down. Flat irons and curling irons should not be used on a daily basis. When you are using heat styling, a heat protectant is crucial.

Do you brush it when its wet? If so, get a specific wet brush. Otherwise, use a comb. Wet hair is too fragile to use a regular brush on.

Also, make sure to use a deep conditioner at least one per week. Protein treatments are fantastic. Just be sure to not go overboard. Too much protein will cause breakage.
Give your hair a break from ponytails and braids. If you must pull it back, praise the universe that the scrunchie is back in style.

"What are you best ever beauty secrets?" - Jessica

I'm so glad you asked! Back in the winter, I wrote an entire post about this.

You can read that HERE

Well, that answers all of the questions that I got. If anyone has more, I'll give you my best to answer them for you.

Have a fantastic weekend!

XO,

SheShe
