Happy hump day, hunnies!
How is this week treating you so far?
Today, I want to talk to you about Olaplex. Specifically, I want to share with you why I am absolutely obsessed with Olaplex.
Olaplex is what has finally made it so that my hair actually grows and gains length (as opposed to breaking off).
This is not just another deep conditioning mask. In fact, that's not at all what Olaplex is. Olaplex is a bond restorer / builder.
What does that mean?
Our hairs are each made of millions and millions of tiny proteins that are bonded together. As we style our hair with heated tools, color it, bleach it, pull it back too tightly, etc those bonds get broken and your hair breaks, gets split ends, dry and dull.
What Olaplex does is strengthen and repairs those bonds. That in turn, keeps the hair from becoming damaged.
For nearly 10 years I had been trying to grow my hair. Granted, I both bleach and color my hair. Also, I blow dry it and sometimes use wands and irons. Regardless though, my hair would never get past just below my shoulders.
Olaplex 3
This is the stuff that first put Olaplex on the map.
You apply this to dry hair BEFORE you wash it. Put it on about 45 minutes before you wash.
I like to out it on first thing in the morning, work out with it on then shower it out. This is an absolute game changer.
Olaplex 0
Olaplex 0 is what you use with Olaplex3 if your hair needs serious TLC.
I like to use this right before I get my hair done. It gives my hair a serious bump of protection before my hair gets bleached.
Olaplex 8
This is the deep conditioner to end all deep conditioners. Its very highly concentrated and provides moisture like I've never experienced.
Olaplex 6
This might just be the best styling cream out there. A little goes a very, very long way. It fights frizz and flyaways. Even better, ikt dramatically speeds up drying time.
Olaplex 7
The bonding oil. Literally 2-3 drops is all that you need.
I actually mix this in with Olaplex 6.
It add SO much shine and provides an extra level of protection from heat styling.
Olaplex also has a shamoo (#4) and conditioner (#5). I have not used these as I'm in LOVE with my Oribe. However, I've heard nothing but good things about them. Seeing how well everything else works, I'm sure the shampoo/conditioner is also fantastic.
Olaplex 1 & Olaplex 2 are salon products used during the process of bleaching or coloring hair.
If you have yet to try Olaplex, now is the time. I cannot stress how much of a game changer this line has been. My hair is looking better and healthier than it ever has.
Okay, until Friday my loves.
