Make Your Makeup Melt Proof

Hello, Mes Amies.

Here we are 1/2 way into May. The temperature is starting to rise everywhere. Unlike last summer, we are out and about and showing up places. We are seeing people that we haven't seen in a long time. We are going to want to look our best. We don't want to see a dear friend for the first time in 18 months only to have our makeup melting off .

Here's how to keep it in place even as the temperature is rising .

• Do Not Use Heavy Moisturizers In The Morning

In the summer, save the heavy face creams for your PM routine. 

In the morning, opt for a light , oil free moisturizer. 

• Do Not Skip Primer

I get it, as it get hot you do not want layers and layers on your face. However, primer is the layer of protection between your makeup and the perspiration that wants to come and take that makeup away.  Urban Decay All Nighter is a fantastic choice.

• Use Waterproof Makeup

Sure, we all know about waterproof mascara. That's just the tip of the iceberg though. Now is the time for waterproof eyeliners , blushes. Check out Cargo Cosmetics They make an entire line of waterproof makeup.

• Use Setting Powder

Even if you don't typically use setting powder, use it when it's hot. You'll want to apply it anywhere that your face normally sweats.

• Use Setting Spray

This time of year, setting spray is a necessity. Setting sprays create a protective shield over your makeup . After you have applied all of the cosmetics that you'll be using, spray your face from about 8-12 inches away.
