Happy Friday, Loves!

I'm sharing a recipe for the perfect weekend snack with you guys today.

You know how some pizza places sell cheesy bread sticks that are often better than the pizza its self?

Well, its SO easy to make them at home. Its literally under 10 minutes of hands on time.

Back when having people over to watch the game was a thing, I'd always make a batch or two of these. My hubby asks for these pretty regularly.

When talking about how to make the perfect pizza, (Read That Here) I had mentioned that I don't buy store bought dough. That is still true when I am making a pizza.  For these though, pizza dough from your super market is perfectly fine to use. 99% of the time, that's exactly what I do.

In fact for ingredients, all you need is :

  • One ball of store bought pizza dough
  • 1C Grated Mozzarella cheese
  • 3 TBS butter, melted.
  • 2 Cloves of garlic, minced

The process is so simple.

Pre-heat your oven to 425.
Roll out room temperature dough  as if you were going to make a large pizza. It is important that the dough is room temperature as cold dough will continually snap back at you.

Meanwhile, combine minced garlic with butter. Melt them together and stir well.

Cover your pizza peel with polenta, then transfer dough to peel.

Now, you'll spread the garlic/butter mixture over the entirety of the dough.

No surprise that the next step is to cover with the cheese.

I also added a bit of dried basil to mine.

Bake for 10-12 minutes at 425.

Once cheese is golden and bubbly, remove from oven. Let sit for 2-3 minutes.
Cut once down the center vertically. Then, cut 5 or 6 times horizontally to form sticks that are one inch wide by 5 inches long. The finished product is SO good!

Enjoy!
