She's Got Great Jeans

March 11, 2020 in

Welcome to Wednesday, Mes Amies!
How is this week treating you so far?

Jeans are something that never goes out of style. Yet, the wrong jeans can make you look dated faster than you can say "Y2K".  I'm looking at you dark with white stitching.
In order for your jeans to give you that effortless chic look, they must be current. Today, we are going to take a look at what is hot and fresh in denim as we enter into spring of 2020.

First up, is the pair from our cover photo. Why an I starting with these? Well, its what I'm wearing now as I write this.

This is my first pair of button fly jeans. Initially, I was very on the fence about getting a pair. I remembered my brother and all of his friends wore them in the early 90's. I was surprised to learn that the button fly jean was originally created on May 20, 1873 by Levi Strauss.
I was even more surprised to learn how comfortable these babies are.  Seriously , these are so comfortable, particularly in the mid section.  Standing, sitting, doing squats, there is nothing but comfort.
I'd strongly suggest trying on several sizes before purchasing. Button Fly jeans that are too large will gape in the crotch. Button Fly jeans that are too tight will pull open between buttons.
However, consider yourself Goldie Locks. Get a pair that fits "just right". You'll be happy that you did.

The 1970's are back in a big way. Flared jeans are a testament to that.
The flared jean (or pant) is one of the more flattering silhouettes out there.
When wearing them, bear in mind that this style works best with shoes that are not flats. Any type of heel will work. However, I say go all out 1970's here, Pair these with a platform or wedge for an extra shot of on point fashion.

Yes, the flared jean is so hot right now. Still, nobody is saying to throw your skinnies away.
For spring though, its good to lighten up. That along with the fact that lighter wash jeans in general are what's current right now. Getting this pair in this light blue wash is a good way of saying "Hello world, these are not the same skinny jeans I've been wearing every other day since 2009."

Levi's Straight Cut Wedgie Jean

If you want something In-between the flared jean and skinny cut, you are in luck.
The straight leg is huge this year. This style pretty much pairs well with anything. Dress them up  with a heel, go super casual with a pair of white athletic shoes.

There you have it, the jeans that are on trend NOW.
Have you tried any of these styles yet? If so, what are your thoughts?

SheShe
