Dear hearts, we only have just over one week left in the month of February!!!!!  H-A-P-P-Y!

I'll leave it at that, as I'm sure that none of you are sick and tired of hearing about my disdain of winter. 😏

Today, I wanted to talk to you guys about the order of how you apply your skin products.
Yup, it REALLY does matter how you do it and in which order.

First and foremost, I'm sure hoping that this goes without saying. Our starting point is  freshly cleaned, toned skin.
Once you have removed your makeup and swiped a cotton ball of toner over your face, these are your next steps. For any product to be absorbed into your skin, your skin MUST be clean.

The rule of thumb when applying skincare is to apply the lightest first and the heaviest last, since thinner products can’t penetrate thicker products.

So, what does that mean in terms of application?  Its slightly different if we are talking about morning or evening.  Your routines should look something like this :

                                                           Morning

  1.  Serum
  2. Eye Cream
  3. Spot Treatment (if necessary)
  4. Moisturizer
  5. SPF 30+

                                                              Night

1. Serum
2. Eye Cream
3. Spot Treatment (if necessary)
4. Moisturizer
5. Retinol (this is an every other night product for me)

Applying your products in this order makes it so that they are the most effective. Let's face it, (pun intended) decent skin care is expensive.

We want to make sure that we are getting the most benefit as possible from our products.

There you have it!  Hopefully, your hump day is great!

XO,
SheShe
