The Friday Five

January 10, 2020 in

Hello!
Here is the first "Friday Five" of 2020.
It looks as if today's questions are all over the place. But, hey, why not?!

1. What is the best book you have ever read? Why did you like it?
"The Great Gatsby". I've been obsessed with this book since I was 16. Its as if you are looking in a window into the 1920's.

2. What is your favorite kind of weather? Why?
90 degrees and sunny. This weather makes me feel so alive. That weather is what I live for.

3. If you had $100,000, how would you spend it?
I'm going to assume that this question means that I had to spend it and not invest or donate?
If that is the case, I'd purchase several ultra high end purses. I know that those hold their value!

4. Did you ever meet a famous person?

"Famous"? No, but a "big wig", yes.
In 2008 I worked for a company that sent me to Atlanta (Such a great city) several times a year.  On one such trip, I was bumped up to business class (don't you just LOVE when that happens?). My seatmate was a very well dressed, polished business man. I was trying my best to not bother him. I had my iPod out (It was 2008) and was listening to music with earbuds.
He tapped me on the shoulder and said "Is that Flo-rider that you are listening to?"  I eagerly told him "Yes! this is his brand new song called elevator. I'm obsessed with it!"  We got talking, he was so nice. He was asking me on point questions such as " Growing up in the suburbs did the other kids listen to hip hop too?"  "What is it about hip hop that speaks to you?"
I had assumed he was a serious music buff that enjoyed talking about something he loved.
Well, as the plane started his decent he said to me, "So, would you like to see Flo-Rider tonight?' Before I could ask what he meant, he handed me his business card. He was Michael Kyser, at that time the Executive Vice President of urban Music at Atlantic records (hes now the president!)

5. Were you ever in a helicopter, limousine, racecar, hot-air balloon, submarine, horse-drawn carriage?
Yes to all but the sub and hot air ballon, though i'd gladly do both.
When I was a teenager, my neighbors who I babysat for had an authentic 1964 Shelby Cobra. I don't know if that's technically a race car, but boy was it fast and fun!

Okay! A very random "Friday Five" is in the books!

Have a fantastic weekend!
