Just like that, it was Monday all over again.
On Saturday, I received an email that read as follows ... "Hi Sheila, I just bought the perfume Good Girl that you talked about in last Monday's, post. Its so pretty, I love it. Thanks for the heads up. My favorite posts are the get to know me ones though. Not just you, those are my favorites on all blogs. I hope you do another one soon."
While my initial response is "You know I'm boring, right?" I totally get it though.
I love learning about you guys too. I want to know what song you just can't help but sing along to. I want to know what you HAVE to get if you are ordering Chinese food. I want to know what "your" show is.
When you are a people person, you just love this stuff. so, like I said, I get it.
To do this post, I turned to Pintrest and searched "Random get to know you questions." This is what I found.
1. What’s your favorite way to
spend a weekend?
Getting a good workout in, getting my nails done, having a nice dinner with my husband.
2. What’s your favorite
sleeping position?
Back, I can only sleep on my back.
3. In the summer, would you
rather sleep with the window open or blast the AC? AC, I like it to be very cool when I sleep.
4. Ideally, how would you spend
your birthday?
I love when my birthday falls when we are on vacation. That normally entails breakfast in bed, getting a new bag than going to a fancy dinner with my person. I love that.
5. What do you do on your
commute to/from work?
Well, my "commute" is less than 2 minutes by car. So, essentially nothing. when I walk, that's about 10 minutes. On those days, I listen to music.
6. What's your favorite season
and why?
Summer! I like the heat, the sunny days, the flowers in bloom, the late night ice cream runs, the 5:00 am sunrises.
7. What's the phone app you use
most?
Instagram. I love looking at everyone's pictures. Especially, if its pictures of their dogs!
8. How do you take your coffee?
Ideally, from Starbucks. At home, I put coconut milk in it.
9. Do you sleep with a top
sheet? Why or why not?
Of course I do! I'm not a barbarian! lol
10. How would your 10-year-old
self react to what you do?
I'm sure she'd be intrigued and ask a million questions.
11. Do you have a work best
friend?
Yes, Bill. I love him. Hes not just my "work" best friend, hes one of my best friends, period.
(This was us last year when I started playing Christmas music on November 10th)
12. How did you form your
current political views?
This will sound odd, but I think I was born with them. My views are different than what my parents were when I was growing up (My mom has since come to my side of the isle). But, I remember being very politically minded as a small child. I used to be so envious of people who were old enough to vote.
13. Have you ever lost a
friend? If so, what happened?
Love or hate her, Oprah hit the nail on the head here.
I'll leave it at that.
14. Are you an organ donor?
Absolutely! You cant take them with you. Why not save the lives of others?
15. Do you contribute to any
charities?
Yes, and I'm proud to say that they are all animal related.
16. What line should someone
never cross with you?
By harming or neglecting animals or by making fun of animals that are abused or neglected.
17. If you could magically
become famous, would you want to?
Nope. I had no desire to be "famous". No way, no thank you.
18. If you could go back to
anytime in history, where would you go?
Oh, this is a good one. I'd love to of been here for the end of WWII
19. At a party, where can
someone find you?
In the middle of the room, going around trying to meet and talk with as many people as I can.
20. How do you interact with
someone who disagrees with you?
I like to ask as many questions as I can. I want to see how/why they got to where they are thought wise.
I make sure to always keep my tone polite though. Its OKAY for other folks to not see things they way we do. That is something many of need to be reminded of nowadays.
