The Friday Five

Hello Dearhearts,
I'm just itching to get to 12:30 today, that's when the Anniversary Sale goes live at Nordstrom.

Anyhow, it's been a hot minute since I did a Friday Five link up.  There is no time like the present, so here we go.

1. Are you a happy person? 

Yes, very much so. I always have been. My mom often talks about I was the happiest baby she ever encountered.


2. What is happiness for you? 

Oh man, where do I begin??  I'm just going to rattle off the top things that come to mind...
-Hugs from my husband
-Coming home to our dogs
-Sunrise
- That first sip of coffee in the morning
- The phrase "It's benign"
-Doing girl stuff with my mom
-Cooking the perfect meal
-Warm summer days
-Sitting by the lights of a Christmas tree
- Helping to get a shelter dog moved to the "safe" list
-The stars on a really clear night
-Hearing the horns from the ships leaving the harbor in the morning
-Date nights with my husband
-July 4Th
-Listening to an elderly person as they share their memories
-Getting in the car right as "your song" comes on
-Walking our dogs


3. What do you think is the color for happiness? 

Yellow. Obviously, yellow.

4. Do you think that happiness lies within you? Or does it depend upon other people and external things? 

I don't even think that this is a matter of opinion. Happiness MUST come from within. The people whom I've know that had the opinion that other's were responsible for their happiness, were without a doubt the most miserable I've known. 

5. Can money buy happiness? 

No, Never.

I understand that a lack of money can cause absolute misery.

However, once your needs are met, meaning you can pay for stable housing, food etc. That's as far as money will go in regards to your happiness.

The things that being true happiness, are never actually things. What brings TRUE happiness are people, experiences, animals and connections.
