My favorite mascaras

Hello! Welcome to April. 
Today at my office, it's picture day. I feel like I'm in 4th grade again.
Any-who... when it comes to makeup, I think most of us have that one thing they can't live without. For many woman, it's lipstick. For me though, it's mascara. Mascara is my "If you were stuck on a deserted island and could only have one beauty product..."

I think we can all agree though, not all mascaras are created equal. Today, I'm going to share with you, my  mascara "product heroes".




First Up....


 Clinique's Workout Mascara   Clinique Workout Mascara $20.00 

"It's surprisingly amazing" was the first review I read before buying this. That reviewer was 100% correct.

I get it, in an ideal world, we are not working out with makeup on. Life happens though. You might have 15 minutes to leave work, change clothes and grab your  bike spin class. You may be just getting your run in before dark. No matter what the situation... This stuff is not going to come off when you sweat. No stinging in the eyes, no mess on your face.

Next up, 

Maybelline Lash Discovery   Lash Discovery $6.50   

 I know that this picture is deceiving. However, what I love about this mascara is how small and defined the wand is. 

It is ideal for lower lashes. In fact, its the ONLY mascara that I use on my lower lashes. I like having those lashes defined. But..I'm not up for looking like Tammy Faye ...

Moving along...

L'Oreal Lash Paradise   Lash Paradise $10.00

It's no secret that when L'oreal bought Too Faced Cosmetics, they took their "Better than Sex" mascara and mass marketed it under it.  I'm not spilling any secrets here. They did this in a very obvious manner. Same packaging, etc. One thought though ... ALWAYS get the waterproof version of Lash Paradise. The "washable" version just does not wear the same way.

Then there is,

Lights! Camera! Lashes by Tarte    Lights! Camera! Lashes! $24

My thyroid got all out of order a few years back (I've been being treated for it since 2007). When it it, my lashes started falling out and breaking. It was bad. this mascara was the only one that made them look and feel somewhat normal. I love this stuff.

Lastly, we have my ALL TIME FAVORITE MASCARA

IT Cosmetics Super Hero Mascara Super Hero Mascara $24.00

Where do I begin? This has become my HG mascara. People will often ask me if I have lash extensions when I wear this. I've all but stopped wearing fake lashes because of this stuff. Its amazing.

Granted, I feel as if it dries out a bit faster than other mascaras, therefore needing to be replaced more often. You know what though, I don't even care. It really is THAT good.

Okay, those are my favorites. I need to jet off and put time into my makeup today for the company pictures. If I do a decent enough job, I'll show them here.
