Ankle Booties for Fall '18

October 09, 2018 in
Hi There! I hope everyone is starting this Monday happy and refreshed after having a great weekend.
Here in New England, this fall is a tad later than it normally is. I was looking back at my "Facebook memories". The past two years, we were in some pretty spectacular foliage right about now. This year, everything is mostly still green. We are just starting to see splashes of red, yellow and orange here and there. Its just been too warm so far to entice the leave to put on their show.
Its actually been really warm. Today is in the mid 70's, tomorrow might be 80 and we've yet to hit 50. That's a record.
Anyhow, while getting dressed the past few days I was thinking how its far too warm to wear boots and its too October to wear sandals #missmymillers. Enter in the ankle boot to save the day. The way to be dressed and not get heat stroke and still not look confused as to which hemisphere you actually reside in.

I'm going to list out here the booties which I have purchased for myself this season. These 5 pair will cover all of my bases . I highly recommend each of these. I'm already wearing and LOVING each of these.

1)   Louise et Cie's Sonya bootie       Sonya Bootie

These are my FAVORITE! Best booties I've ever bough! The are comfortable, the right height and they are so stylish. I like to pair these with my black leather moto jacket. These are the boots that compel people to stop to ask you where you got them.

2) Puzzle Sock bootie Charles by Charles David   Sock Bootie

Comfort, comfort, comfort. Those are the first three attributes about these. They are almost TOO comfortable. Yet, they are a work horse. They look great with jeans, under dress slacks too. I'm trying to think of if I have any friends who are going to be in the later stages of pregnancy this winter. If so, I'd consider gifting them a pair of these. They pull on and stretch.

3) Bristy by Vinve Camuto      Bristy Boot

Here is another one that sparks the question "Where did you get those shoes!?" The block style heel along with the elasticated side makes them very comfortable. The leather is smooth and rich.  I like to wear these with jeans and a leopard print belt.

4) The Teddi Boot by Jessica Simpson   Teddi Bootie

You need a nude bootie in your bullpen. They are ideal for if you are wearing blue or are just tired of black ( I start getting this way toward Feb/March). These ones here were a steal, under $60.00. They look great dressed down or dressed up. The patent easily wipes clean. That is important if like me , you live in a place where a lot of ice melt is used.

5) Bibbiana Bootie by Geox   Bibbiana Bootie

Geox was the main competition to the company that I worked for, for 7 years. After purchasing these, I see why the competition was so fierce. Geox is an Italian brand that creates shoes that are SO well made. This suede is thick and soft. Its my expectation that I'll still be wearing these boots 5 years from now. That really are that well made. I
If you live in a snowy environment like I do, be sure to save your suede footwear for when the ground is free of snow and salt!

So, this is the bootie collection which I have added to my fall winter wardrobe.
I hope everyone has a fantastic week!
